Oncology Trials

Broad Oncology Capabilities with Extensive Study Experience

Oncology research requires experienced investigators, highly-trained clinical staff, and specialized facilities providing the care patients need while also supporting the unique demands of cancer trial protocols. In coordination with its oncology investigators, Accel provides the clinical expertise, diverse patient populations and first-rate facilities needed to conduct a high quality oncology study.

Physician Network

Accel offers access to several of the leading oncology and hematology practices in Alabama. These specialists have strong clinical trial experience as the PI and extensive experience working nationally with the NCI and NIH. These physicians have a large, diverse patient population for participation in oncology clinical trials.

Oncology Indications

Our oncology investigators have a broad range of experience in oncology clinical trials, including studies for lymphoma, chronic leukemia, breast, lung, colon and prostate cancer. We have particular expertise in oncology supportive care studies, including chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting, neutropenia and anemia studies, growthfactor support studies, as well as cancer-related pain trials.

Superior Staff and Facilities

Our oncology practices employ a highly trained clinical team with expertise in caring for the oncology patient. This staff includes nurses, lab technicians and pharmacy personnel. Our facilities feature state of the art technology and equipment including comfortable exam rooms, a chemotherapy infusion center with eight treatment chairs, an in-house pharmacy for drug preparation and dispensation, a private patient sick room and secured storage for study drug. There is also convenient, on-site access to a full range of radiology and diagnostic services.
